The Red Cleric - Alternative Ceremonies

             |

Definition:   Cler-ic  n.  A member of the clergy. *

Throughout history the title of Cleric has often been given to individuals who were of the clergy class in many Eastern religions. History shows us that the Clergy or Clerical Class were among the few that could read or write.

The idea for the Red Cleric started after Rebecca became ordained as a Cleric through a non-denominational organization. After considering several names The Red Cleric was chosen because it seemed the most apt. Red is one of Rebecca's colors and is also tied to good fortune, love, and weddings in a number of cultures.

Rebecca felt that by holding the title of Cleric she could avoid alienating individuals based on religious beliefs as she doesn't consider herself of one belief system or dogma.

Though we respect there are many belief systems, it didn't seem that the need was being met for simple ceremonies to be conducted outside of a courthouse without requiring a tie to religion.

One reason that the Red Cleric was started was that there are certain protections both to the consumer and our staff that come with working with a corporation as opposed to working with an individual.  Also, in order to maintain the status of a corporation certain guidelines must be followed, again which offer further protection to the consumer.

We are proud of our status as a woman owned and operated company as Rebecca is the majority shareholder  of our corporation.  Presently we are a small company and only serve Minnesota, but hope that by providing truly personalized weddings and other services that we can continue to grow and provide services to people who truly want a unique experience when it comes to such an important event.
